Prague, 6. 11. 2023 – A new EU-funded project called CERTIFAI has launched to help make digital technologies more secure and trustworthy by using the power of artificial intelligence (AI). The project brings together leading researchers and companies from across Europe to create a smart, cost-effective system for keeping digital products safe throughout their entire lifecycle.
CERTIFAI is supported by the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme and will run from September 2023 to August 2026. It is led by TECNALIA Research & Innovation and includes 11 partners from 8 countries, working together to improve cybersecurity in sectors such as transportation, energy, and maritime systems.
Why Is CERTIFAI Important?
Every year, cyberattacks cost businesses and individuals billions of euros. Digital products like software and smart devices often have hidden weaknesses, especially when they are updated regularly. Today’s security checks are often too slow, too expensive, and not built for the fast pace of modern technology.
CERTIFAI is going to fix this by building a smarter, AI-based system that can check for security risks automatically and continuously.
What Will CERTIFAI Do?
- Help manufacturers make sure their digital products stay safe even after updates.
- Use AI to detect possible security issues quickly and accurately.
- Support faster and more flexible certification processes.
- Make it easier for companies to follow European cybersecurity rules.
